Hello Readers,
Today we have been making art of the Southern Lights\Aurora Australis, an Aurora is a display of lights in the sky, They are usually green but can be red or blue, Auroras are made by high energy particles from the sun that come down to earth, as they come closer they interact with with our planets magnetic field, the magnetic field pushes them toward the south and north magnetic poles.
We made our art by ripping some paper to look like a mountain range then we stuck it onto a black piece of paper, we flicked white paint onto the black paper by using a paint brush to make it look like stars, once the paint dried we got chalk pastels and coloured the ripped piece of paper and then smudged it onto the black piece of paper so you could see the shape of the mountains. Then we added the Matariki star constellation.
This is how mine turned out-
Do you find the Aurora Australis interesting?
That's all for now, bye!
