My Goal Reflection - Term 4

My Goal Reflection-Term 4

My goal- Don’t hit the bar in high jump (athletics)

Steps and how well I did on them

1. Pretend to jump over
the bar while lifting arm
Done some during lunch time.

2. Practice by getting mum and brother-
to hold up a pole and
jump over without hitting it
-Didn't do because no time to do it.

3. Do in practice school practice time-
(on fridays)- Did not do because teachers-
didn't set up again.

In the end I did accomplish my goal in-
athletics without much training.

                             The House

A  cracked, stone footpath lay below my feet, and an eye burning light shone down on the leaves below that slowly suffocated the dirt. Many skyhigh, stiff figures stood stubbornly  solid to the ground, and the thick fog nearly completely
Covered a  ugly shack with a rotting wooden roof. “Hello” I shouted, “anybody there?”, My cracked voice echoed through the decaying forest. I stood stiff, waiting for a reply holding my breath and biting my tongue, as I stood in the very heart of the forest. I looked down at my numb, bear feet a dirty torch lay on the broken rock pathway, I very slowly and carefully picked up the torch and clicked the button and - nothing happened
I let the torch slip out of my numb fingers and onto the soft bed of leaves.
I glared up at the window of the shack where the light had come from, I saw something brush past the cracked  window.
“Who was that?” I whispered to myself “I wonder if they will help me” I stood still, wondering what to do in the darkness of dusk. I stood as my heart beated as fast as a rabbits, and a loud screech indicated that a door was opening. An old woman with long, dirty fingernails and black boots that covered her scrawny knees and wore a long pink dress that draped over  her scrunched up dress-boots.
She pulled a attempted smile and showed her rotting brown teeth, “would you like to
come in?” she said with a high cracked pitched voice “I have a warm fire”
I was desperate to but said “no thank you” and quickly pivoted around, I started running faster than I had ever before. I had stubbed my toe at least 5 times on the footpath before I looked behind myself, she was not behind me but when I turned back she was standing in front of me...

Singapore's Sentosa merlion

Singapore's Sentosa merlion

My eyes slowly followed up to the tippity top of the colossus statue. Its eyes were glossy and mirroring like crystal balls.
I saw many people crouching down and taking pictures of and with the Sentosa Merlion and I could hear quick clicking all around me from people's phones, selfie sticks, and cameras.I caught the lovely smell of fresh fruit, I bit into my freezing fruity ice-cream that cooled me right down from the burning sun. I felt tiny looking up at the massive statue. I was baffled by its colossal size. Everyone there were like  flocks of angry geese trying to get food. Chitter chatter everyone was talking in different languages.
